......

  • going for brunch
  • great coffee, and all the paraphernalia
  • aperol spritz
  • boho chic homeware
  • feminist books (fiction and non)
  • house plants
  • brow maintenance
  • Glasto

What would you want for your birthday - budget around £40.

Child free. Works in tech in "that London"

Generational gap isnt helping - my wants would be a pair of slippers and a night off from my kids.

Help!

Afternoon tea in London. Can get a voucher from Smart box.

MauveMagnolia · 26/08/2021 22:56

Harris gin (and glasses if splashing out).

My DD is about to turn 29 and sounds a bit like your friend. She has asked for money to frame some prints so any kind of art is always welcome, plus some pyjamas. She adores house plants so gifts from Patch etc are always great. Books are always welcome. Alcohol is good- interesting craft beers, gin or wine. Foodie gifts go down a treat so vouchers for a cafe or restaurant.

That's a fabulous book. I had it on Audible and recommended it to my 29yo DD.

This sounds like me haha. I would recommend some homeware from Oliver bonas. Something like this: www.oliverbonas.com/homeware/agata-gold-tumbler-glasses-set-of-four-248482

Thanks everyone! I will have a good look through all of your suggestions. I'm sure the collective MN wisdom will mean I find her the perfect gift
