I know some swelling is normal in pregnancy, but my right foot is currentlyquite swollen compared to my left…. Is this normal?

I’ll add a photo but I worry it’s not that obvious in photos compared to real life 🤦🏻‍♀️

It could be sign of a dvt so I would go to A and E to be checked, better safe than sorry. Hope it all goes well. You could call out of hours GP too.

Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well

Yes, I had that and it was a dvt. You need to get checked out x

Sorry, I should have explained more - a DVT is a blood clot, it means the vein is partially blocked (or sometimes fully) so blood can’t easily flow back out of the leg. If it was in your calf, anything below the clot, so the ankle, would swell and it is the reason why only one leg swells. If treated quickly, it should get a lot better but if left untreated it can cause serious complications. It looks like your leg is also slightly discoloured which would be another sign, but I can’t tell if it is just the photo.

Being pregnant increases your risk.

Hope it isn’t and all goes well, but worth getting checked to be sure.

A&E please. Could be DVT as PP have pointed out - v easily treated, v serious potential consequences if left.

At the very least call 111 and / or your MW or MLU.

It is pretty noticeably swollen.
