I want to go away from my birthday and since I can’t go abroad I was thinking haven (as I have young children) but I’ve never been, is it worth going in the colder months (October birthday) is there still much to do?

I don't know what it'll be like this year, but we went for an October half term break a couple of years ago.

Aside from the outdoor pool, which had closed, all the other facilities and entertainments were running as normal

I had a week away in Cleethorpes on a Haven site.. you have to buy a play pass and then book the entertainment and swimming through the App it was a nightmare… fully booked for the whole week I stayed. The site was so packed I doubt I would go again.

We are going end of September/early October, we usually go at this time of year and it’s a nice time to go, fairly quiet(often have the pool to ourselves etc). I’m not sure how much covid will change things.

I went to haggerston castle in october half term, lovely autumnal weather and activities and far fewer of the loutish chavs present during the summer on the big parks.

One of the most memorable family holidays, relaxed, plenty of activities, no hassle from the kids (4, 5, 12 at the time) plus super, super cheap.

Thank you everyone I have heard about the app and things being booked up so hopefully that’s not as much of a problem in October as hoping won’t be as busy as the 6 weeks holiday 😬

I was also surprised at how cheap it was coming up which is another positive!
