How much for gas and electric

I'm fairly new to the U.K. so trying to get an idea of what we are being charged is normal. We are with bulb and apparently we are using £150 a month. This is with reading given every month. Is this normal for a four bed semi, family of four. I'm looking at changing but just want an idea of what others are paying

Is that your actual usage or what the amount of your monthly direct debit is?

I submit monthly readings with Octopus and my actual usage last month was £104 (£24 gas and £80 electric). I was paying £130 per month but I reduced my payment on the app to £100 as I was in credit.

Also it will depend on your tariff and your usage

I was paying £108 a month and just got a £500 rebate when I left and switched to another provider. For some reason they'd ignored all my meter readings and just guessed!
Currently DD is £78 and that seems a bit low but I imagine our usage is less than £90. Amounts obviously vary based on tarrif though.
We are a family of 5, who use the dryer nearly every day and many many screens...

It could be correct. The average for everyone is around £1200 per year, but you have a larger than average house, that will also cost more if it is older due to poorer insulation, more leaky windows etc.

Moneysavingexpert is a good website to learn about how to get whatever you need for the best price and how the market etc works in the UK - you generally need to sign up to a new deal every year, or else you will pay more.
