Is next age 3 bigger than a general age 2-3 or the same ?

DD wears age 2-3 now ( mostly supermarket & H&m) and it's getting short / tight, but age 3-4 is too big. I've seen that Next do individual sizes like age 3 or age 4 or age 5. Does anyone know how these come up before I order online ( and have to pay to return) ?

Next have always been generously cut in my experience so should be ok.

I don’t think there it’s giving you different sizes.
2-3
3-4
4-5

Same as
3
4
5

Just differently labelled. Might be worth trying different brands in case they are bigger or smaller though.

I've always found next come up huge. Even now dts are a 12 in H&M but a 10 in next

Most websites have size charts and most are based on height.

Ahhhhh I see yeah looking at a couple of size guides they seem the same as next age 3 in theory for their age 2-3 's ... Darn. So next question is what brands come up bigger?

Age 3 is 2-3, age 4 is 3-4 and so on but like everyone has said Next are pretty generous on sizing. Depending on your budget other generous sizing shops are Sainsbury's and M&S.

H and M have some leggings in 3 - 4 with elastic waist adjusters in, which has been brilliant for my v small 3 year old as she grows.

So I’ve got her the 3 - 4 and she’s got the tightest setting

Would you not just get them a bit big and they’ll fit her within months anyway? If it’s summer things you’ll want them to last till next year surely.
