What else do you look at apart from Mumsnet?

I find mumsnet useful and interesting to some extent but waste a lot of time on it and certain topics can end up depressing me. What else do you look at on your phone?

Twitter. Facebook groups I'm member of.
You can depress yourself with those things, too, of course. Only 'like' posts you want to see more of.

Reddit, but only subredddits I have chosen (they appear in a ‘home’ feed). There is a lot of very awful stuff on there, so choose carefully.

GhostRyder · 26/08/2021 08:10

Honestly just mumsnet, I spend a bit of time on it before bed and don’t really browse anything else

kittycluck · 26/08/2021 08:11

Social media usually. I spend far too much on it. Really should reduce amount of time

BIoodyStupidJohnson · 26/08/2021 08:16

Reddit, Youtube sometimes.

I like watching videos of people restoring/repairing old wristwatches. The intricacy and skill is wonderful, and it's nice to see rusty/tarnished/neglected old things polished up and made nice again.

Then listening -- Audible, podcasts, Spotify, Focus At Will if I'm working (through my phone).

I tend to stay away from the news sites depressing, manipulative and other social media (besides Youtube, and LinkedIn for work). I'm not on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter at all any more and feel much better for it.

Not much really. Quick look at Facebook for info about groups I’m interested in. I don’t like SM generally.

TrueGrit54 · 26/08/2021 12:38

Just mumsnet really, a couple of podcasts like Older and Wider, it makes me laugh while I do the ironing etc. None of us on any social media including the teenagers.
