What has made you laugh until you wheeze recently?

I was just sitting on the loo (a place that seems to promote random thoughts) and I remembered a conversation with DH last year and I laughed until I wheezed all over again. I was looking for a new car and wanted electric if I could find one that I liked. I looked at an eNiro in the showroom. I felt that the boot wasn't big enough, I would be able to fit the dog's crate into it but not much luggage with it. The salesman suggested that if we only put both the dog and luggage into the car for holiday trips then we could put a roof box on for the couple of times a year that we needed it. I was talking about it with DH later and mentioned the roof box, he looked at me for a moment and said "I don't think the dog would like being in a roof box". Grin It still makes me lol now.

A few months later I had bought a car, a plug in hybrid estate not an SUV. I've had low to the ground cars before but I was much younger then so I struggled a bit but thought I hid the struggle well. DH works from home and I park directly in front of the study window. One evening he was watching Thunder Force on his computer, which is a rubbish comedy film, and he was nearly falling off his chair with laughter. I said that the reviews hadn't found it all that funny and he said "It's not, but they're trying to get out of a Lambourgini and it's just like you getting out of your car." Grin

My Dad doesn’t Facebook properly. He uses the Facebook search function as a web browser. One memorable day my husband rang me to warn me that my Dad had Facebook posts in quick succession saying-

James Webb telescope launch date
Where to buy Start Ya Bastard (this is actually a real product)
Richard Dawkins vs Peter Hitchens
Australian Rugby League draw.

It is of course funnier if you know my Dad.

Thank goodness he doesn’t seem to search anything x-rated.

Watching Rob & Romesh Vs series often has me wheezing with laughter
Same! They're hilarious together aren't they?

I find most of Janey Godley’s animal videos funny, but there’s one in particular of a cat squeezing it’s way through an ever decreasing sized cardboard cut-out in a door that has me helpless with laughter every time I watch/listen to it.

@GreenTortoise

When my DP stated that babies have gills to breathe in the womb. GILLS.

I also do not add softener when washing waterproof coats as you're not supposed to and he didn't add softener when washing the swimming gear as it would take the water repellent off. It's a swimming costume...

Actually lolled at “gills” Grin

On a trip to Reading, yesterday, we listened to Steve Penk's Radio Nightmares.
www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000hfzq

I was laughing so much that I could barely breath at some points. Notable moments were an announcer introducing, "Dennis Healey 'LP" and a contestant on an Australian radio programme attempting to answer the question, "How do you spell the name of the band ACDC?"

Don't listen to this when you are driving!

I love Janey Godley. The best is the cat looking for her good black leggings. I should link it here. Watched so many times and still laugh.

This guy going round doing a ‘serous interview’ on YouTube. He had a boom mike that he’d stick in people’s faces and go ‘I’m Paul, I’m from The Internet’ Not sure why but it tickled me, more the tone of voice really.

ItsSunnyOutside · 26/08/2021 09:25

A few things!

My mum talking about someone having bad breath, she wasn't even trying to be funny, she was genuinely worried about their breath...thats what made me crack up, her expressions and concern, I had actual tears from laughing.

My toddler DD has recently started closing her eyes and walking with her hands out like a zombie, she usually does it when she doesn't want to do something, its like 'hmm if I close my eyes, mummy can't see me and I don't have to wash my hands/tidy my toys away' I just burst out laughing everytime. She's so funny.

nearlyhellokitty · 26/08/2021 10:02

I still laugh when I remember the lawyer with the cat filter

We have been watching parks and rec

Cocolapew · 26/08/2021 10:17

I was trying to give my dog medicine last night vis a syringe. She sat, like the good girl she is, but closed her eyes and turned her head away with her jaw clamped shut.
She was like a toddler, every time I looked at her closed eyes I started to laugh

peaceanddove · 26/08/2021 10:49

Nothing specific, but we were away with friends last weekend and I laughed so hard and so much that it caused my hernia repair to flare up (ouch). Still a bit sore today, but it's more than worth it 😊😊😊

I love these too, my favourite is the yellow lab jumping in the muddy puddle, I laughed 'till I cried, please watch it if you've not already seen it.

Apocalyptic Anthony Gormley.

My partner has never failed to make me laugh every day since we met, he’s an incredibly funny person to me because we both share the same sense of humour. Think getting in to bed on a Sunday night early for work the next day and not doing to sleep until god knows what time because we are tear laughing for hours at something completely random and utterly pathetic, but weekly.

This morning a memory popped up of a date night we had where we went to Crosby beach to see the ‘Another Place’ sculptures (google it if you aren’t familiar, it’s wonderful, multiple cast iron sculptures of the artist scattered about).

He messaged saying thank you for the AG date. So I replied with

“Thank you for all of them” (meaning the dates)

Followed by…

“And the ones to come”

And he clearly misinterpreted the situation replied with

“All the Anthony gormleys?”

It sparked a massive back and forth with us sending stupid audio recordings
Him “You know what we need? MORE Antony Gormleys!”
Me whispering “they’re coming!”

I told him we have created this dramatic apocalyptic scene of an expected influx of Anthony Gormleys and I said “do you know what’s even funnier? He doesn’t even know!”

So I’m sat there at work absolutely howling with laughter at the scene and he audio records a

“Or DOES he?!”

And that was it then. Tears and me looking like an absolute nutter at work!
