Actual machine that grinds coffee beans, not a ‘pod’ style machine.
Can anyone recommend a good one please that isn’t too expensive?

Delonghi bean to cup machines seem to be about the cheapest ( not cheap mind you!) and we’ve really liked ours. It’s paid for itself in the long run as I no longer drink coffee out.

We have a DeLonghi bean to cup machine too, which seems to be one of the least expensive, but I think Beko have a bean to cup. I’ve seen them on the ao.com website.

I’ve always found Beko to be a good brand, thank you, I’ll look into DeLonghi and Beko

I use a drip filter (like the one in the picture) which makes nice coffee, mine is big enough for 3-4 cups but also fine to just do one for me. I buy ground coffee but you could buy beans and a separate grinder. It's cheap and easy to clean and store so might be worth a try before buying an expensive machine?

DH has had various coffee machines, but swears by his aeropress.

Oh, and he grinds his own beans.

(I’m allergic to coffee).

Ooh now I want one of those! 😀

I've got a Dualit Burr grinder (around £80), and some stainless steel cafetieres. Better than a machine in my opinion.

BIoodyStupidJohnson · 25/08/2021 16:30

(Stainless steel cafetieres seem to make better coffee than glass ones, I think they retain the heat better or something.)

We've got an electric grinder & an aeropress. Brilliant. DH was sceptical at first but he doesn't really use the supermarket filter machine any more now... Grin
