Waterproof pouches for swimming?

I wasn't sure where to put this, but if I missed the obvious, please tell me and I'll ask for the thread to be moved.

I'm off on holiday next year and I'm hoping to do some sea swimming while I'm there. However, I'm going alone so the issue will be, what do I do with my valuables while I'm in the sea? I would ideally like to find a sort of watertight bumbag that would take my phone, wallet, keys etc - just the stuff that I wouldn't be happy leaving on the shore unattended. Does anyone have any recommendations? There are a few things on Amazon but they all seem to ship from China and I've had problems with these retailers dispatching things that are nothing like the picture on the website or not made from the stated materials, so I'm not sure I'd trust them to keep the water out.

I'm not in the uk but have a Wickelfisch - you might be able to find it in the uk. Its brilliant. Comes in different sizes - including size for phone purse and keys. I've got one big enough to put my running shoes in. Its completely waterproof if rolled properly. And if swimming alone in open water can use it as a float if you get into problems and it helps make you visible to boats (I usually swim in lake with boats).

Thanks, I'll check that out. They look to be available through water sport retailers, although a bit pricey, but maybe worth it for the peace of mind.

For actual swimming, a tow float is great for this as you can put everything in (my large one fits trainers, my clothes and towel) as well as making you visible. Mine is from Swim Secure. Wallet and phone are best in a waterproof bag inside just in case. Swim Secure also do a waterproof bum bag which takes a phone and keys

I was going to suggest trying a sports shop. I got my waterproof bumbag from an independent sports shop years ago. It looks like a normal slimline bumbag on the outside but has a plastic pouch inside that rolls up and velcros in place that is completely waterproof and is big enough to keep money, card and keys in. I'm sure you must still be able to get something similar anywhere that sells sports and surf gear.

I have a Swim Secure bum bag which I put my phone and keys in while I swim in the sea. It has not leaked so far and is very easy to fold and make secure.
