Beginner piano book for a 6 year old?

Gdd doesn’t have a piano or keyboard at home yet, so no formal lessons yet, but when visiting she wants to play mine. (I’m about G5 standard so not totally clueless.). I have a very old child-beginners’ book, which she’s started with - it was inherited from Mil, probably published in the 1950s! Would really like something modern, colourful and appealing. There are lots on Amazon but would be v grateful for any personal recommendation, thank you.

A dozen a day and piano time 1 are great (on Amazon). Our 5 yo has got on really well with them. Best of luck and hope they enjoy!

I start with tunes for 10 fingers at that age, no big stretches and colourful pages, you could always add fun for 10 fingers for a few more tunes and some colourful theory work.

My dc used piano time 1 too.

My 8 year old dd has been learning since she was about 7. She has used 'a dozen a day', 'John Thompson's easiest piano course' and now 'me and my piano'. She has a teacher who recommended all these books but is able to use these books independently.
