Period pants - full briefs that are actually full?

I've tried period pants for the first time this month - bought a range of ones Primark, Modibodi and Cheeky Wipes - and while I've not had the courage to wear them on my heaviest days (peri menopause periods are hardcore) they've been good on my lighter days or on heavy days with a pad. Big annoyance is that although they're advertised as full brief they are anything but - they are actually high leg, so a good part of my bum cheeks aren't covered. A wedgie is the last thing I want when I'm bleeding for Britain.

Has anyone found any period pants that actually cover your whole bum and a waist that's housed 3 children?

Try Wuka - they're really good, and have lots of full brief styles (and boxer short style too for really all over coverage!)

Thanks Smile

I had looked at the high waisted ones but there still seemed to be a lot of bum cheek on display wuka.co.uk/collections/all-products/products/wuka-ultimate-high-waist-heavy-flow - maybe I need to try the shorts instead, they do seem to come quite high up and not the hipster type

I've recently bought some WUKA ones and had to get them exchanged a size up, I'm a dress size 14 so got the L as per the table. However once they arrived they dug in at the sides and thighs and gave me a very unattractive muffin top. I needed to measure and go with that which worked out as XL. The XL are still a teeny bit snug but I guess if you don't want any risks of leaks it is what it is! I got the high waists, not a complete bum coverage but not far off.

They were very good at getting them exchanged though, even when DD had excitedly taken every pair out of their individual pack they were happy to exchange them, I just had to wash the tried on pair and make clear which one that was.

I've yet to see what they are like as a period pant though.

Have you tried Modibodi seamless range? I find they offer quite full coverage (with quite a lot to cover).

MaMelon · 24/08/2021 13:57

Yes - I got the Modibodi recycled seamfree ones but I found they’re cut diagonally so more high leg than full brief. You can see from the picture just how much bum cheek is uncovered www.modibodi.co.uk/products/recycled-seamfree-full-brief-heavy-overnight

Never thought to look on Etsy - thanks!

Surely there must be something out there that isn’t described as ‘sexy’ (I tend not to feel particularly sexy when I’m flooding and cramping Confused) and that covers my curvy bum and stomach completely

I can recommend these:

Full bum coverage and so high waisted they go over my tummy button. I wear them in case I get any break through bleeding (HRT) and they haven't leaked yet.

ShowerOfShite · 24/08/2021 16:38

I can't seem to link from my Amazon app but I wear Innersy high waisted period pants.
Full bum coverage and really comfortable.
On a lightning sale at the minute too.

Are the Innersy ones any good? The ones on the lightening sale seem to be for light flow?

Had a look at the M&S full briefs ones IWantAllTheDogsInTheWorld but they are out of stock Sad

I find the modibodi sensual high waist bikinis give really good coverage. They’re my fave ‘big pants’ & sometimes I wear them even when I don’t have my period cos they’re so comfy!

Pucarbuile · 24/08/2021 18:24

Tulip are proper Bridget Jones arse coverers.

Scutterbug · 24/08/2021 18:29

I wear innersey too, very happy with them x

Tulip website and Facebook page says ‘closed’ Sad Bridget Jones arse coverers are exactly what I want, not a high legged type that show a whole load of bum cheek that make me feel like I’ve got a wedgie. I also want them to reach my belly button - proper, full coverage.

Can you wear the Innersy ones on heavy days? It says light flow on Amazon.

I got some from Sainsburys that are not high legged tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/LOVE-LUNA-Lady-Leaks-Black-Full-Knickers/136918401-Black

ProfYaffle · 24/08/2021 18:57

I also found M&S were continually out of stock. I got the Sainsburys ones linked to below - they're great. Definitely full and good value too.

SunbathingDragon · 24/08/2021 19:03

I can also recommend the TU range.

MaMelon · 24/08/2021 20:18

Brilliant thanks - will give them a go Smile

Oh no, MaMelon, that's disappointing. I'll have to take good care of the few I do have!

WeeLors · 24/08/2021 20:39

I have Floweret ones and they cover everything, very comfy.

MaMelon · 24/08/2021 22:33

Thanks @WeeLors - I’ll give those a go too Smile
