I'm not talking big houses or flash cars. More innocuous things.
Mine is fresh lemons and limes. I'm extremely frugal when it comes to shopping and always bought the bottles of concentrated juice for cooking or drinks but realised in the past year or so I've added them to my grocery shop without a second thought about the extra couple of quid.

I like a bunch of fresh flowers. Nothing expensive but tulips, alstroemeria or similar. Always feels like an indulgence.

Fresh fruit. Lots of it.

Oh yes true, still only cheap lilies from Lidl but I've stepped up to peonies (still from supermarket) the last few years. Feels very grown up Grin

We buy €17 bottles of Ligurian and Sardinian evoo. We don’t use it to cook though, strictly for dipping and garnishing.

I always buy airport lounge access if there is no business seats (pre covid obvs). Not having to scramble for a seat and bottomless coffee is bliss.

We always upgrade to the VIP seats at the cinema.

We always upgrade to the XXL parking for more space in our local paid parking centre.

It’s more about little upgrades for a better experience than actual things.

grapewine · 23/08/2021 21:58

I'm not there yet, but it would be fresh fruit and veggies instead of frozen ones.

catfunk · 23/08/2021 22:00

I just had to Google what 'evoo' is so I'm definitely not there yet 😂

Innocent smoothies in cartons for the DC. They’re expensive but I can afford it now and it’s worth it to get some fruit into them. Previously I’d have bought own brand which they never liked as much.

Standrewsschool · 23/08/2021 22:00

Having the occasional lunch out without feeling guilty (or less so).

ParkerTheThief · 23/08/2021 22:00

Flowers - although I buy them when I am on holiday so I can get maximum enjoyment from them.

MrsPworkingmummy · 23/08/2021 22:01

Regina blitz kitchen roll Grin, lurpack butter, lots of fresh salad ingredients, fresh flowers, frequent random amazon purchases, wine and gin club members with monthly delivery, caravan magazine subscription.

Ronacorona · 23/08/2021 22:02

Fresh fruit and veg

1st class train tickets for long distance journeys (if available to upgrade to)

Subscribe to Spotify so no ads

Treated myself to a really good bike which I use regularly.

TooWicked · 23/08/2021 22:03

Fresh flowers, pre prepared fruit, fortnightly car valeting, and San Pellegrino (I can only drink sparkling water, I can’t stand flat water).

CoffeethenCrochet · 23/08/2021 22:03

Buying a coffee out once a week. Yes I can make perfectly good coffee at home, but it's nice to have someone else make it for me and have a change of scene from home.

MondeoFan · 23/08/2021 22:04

A decent candle. Around once a month. £30 ish.
Worth every penny to me, home from work, slippers on, and lovely candle lit

Blush sorry!
mineofuselessinformation · 23/08/2021 22:05

I'm not often 'extravagant', but I recently bought an inflatable hot tub (largely for pain relief), which is brilliant. I'm seriously considering keeping it up in the colder months.
I don't often go out, but have had DC1 here for the last two days, and after a shitty time they've had good news, so we went out to celebrate and had Lobster Thermidor. We then bought a good bottle of Prosecco to have at home!
For me, it's all about if you're going to treat yourself, do it well. Smile

catfunk · 23/08/2021 22:07

Omg I recently got a free mega kitchen roll from Lidl and it's opened a can of worms in our house 😂

I have a cleaner. It’s 2 hours a week so £30 and she mops the floors and does the bathrooms plus other ad hoc bits. I bloody love her.

MinesAMassiveSalad · 23/08/2021 22:09

I clicked on to write the one that I always notice:

Lemons and limes.😂

dementedma · 23/08/2021 22:10

First class train tickets
A massage
Decent gin

NewlyGranny · 23/08/2021 22:10

Flowers. Things I know my adult children need but can't afford just now (always after consultation, naturally). Pretty milk jugs. Charities. Trips away. Good shoes. Quality makeup. Silk scarves. Nice hand cream. Perfume!

floofycroissant · 23/08/2021 22:11

Cleaner and professional pedicure

altostratus85 · 23/08/2021 22:11

Mine's probably a bit silly, but it's getting gel nails once a month. I don't pay for haircuts or any other treatments, don't wear makeup or buy new clothes/shoes unless needed but for some reason having nice shiny nails makes me feel fab and one thing that's just for "me". I know I could do it myself, but it wouldn't be the same.
