I just read her mum's update and reply to her crowdfund success, now I've got tears rolling down my cheeks and a lump in my throat. I never used to be this soppy! 😆

Yes all the scholarships were awarded to year 7 and she is year 9, very brave of her to join the school 2 years in, her classmates will be ahead, she must be very good to have been offered despite being so 'behind'.

Its very tough. A school friend of my child's went in year 7. Its full boarding, so whilst funding covers school fees you have to find the money for the boarding element. The mum i knew organised all sorts of fund raisers through the year to get her daughter there.
