Hi my twenty year old daughter fainted a few weeks ago and she went to get bloods taken . They all came back satisfactory. However she still says she feels spaced out during the day and she seems quite emotional . She won’t go back to docs because her bloods came back ok . Any advice ?

How’s her blood pressure?

Fine I think it was a bit low after her faint

What was the context surrounding the faint?

This might help you, I just checked my NHS health record. Look up Syncope/vasovagal faint. I had this twice, once while pumping up a (punctured) inflatable dinghy (I think I was hunched a bit and straightened up) and once standing in a shed doorway talking to somebody spray painting (it was venting past me). Nothing since and these were 20+ years ago, a couple of years apart, with nothing found from bloods and other testing.

I have a condition called Vaso Vagal syncope. It developed in my 20s and causes fainting, low blood pressure and lots of “pre-syncope” which basically means I feel really spaced out/drunk! Your daughter can be tested for this via a Tilt Table Test and if she does have it, it is fairly easy to control with increased salt, water & meds. A cardiologist would normally diagnose it and would also rule out any other cardiac related causes of fainting first xx
