Unfair bloody British weather

So, my dc's school and the school where I teach are in different counties. I break up a week later than them, they go back a week earlier than me. Not a problem, generally.

Except...the week that I was still at work was boiling hot and sunny. They go back this week - it's warm and sunny all week. The bit in the middle where we've all been off together has been mostly shit. Harrumph.

Please fell free to stamp your feet and share your own weather gripesAngrySmile

Except for those few days, it's been a generally rubbish summer. We spent our "holiday" last week cold and dodging the rain.

We're going abroad next year, no matter what hoops we have to jump through!

Me too!
We managed to catch the tail end of the nice weather at the start for a few days away but promised ourselves a camping trip when the forecast looked good...it didn't ever look good, until this week.

We must be in the same county as your DCs school. DD is back on Wednesday too, on the plus side I have Wednesday off to work to recover from the last 7 weeks of madness so will be spending the day sitting outside in peace and quiet with cold drinks, and peace, and quiet, and chocolate that I can eat without having to hide or share it 🤣
