Anyone else struggling with the NHS app?

I have the NHS (general) app on my phone and would like to link my children to it. I have contacted the GP surgery who said they have now done this, but the email says:

To access online services:
1 Create an account with one of the following service providers:

With a list of 3rd party service providers, such as chemists/diabetes support/repeat prescriptions etc.
Is this right? Is it not possible for them to link our profiles from their records and for the app to update accordingly with the details?
Anyone got any insight or expertise of this?

Have you tried setting them up on your Patient Access first?

What your GP surgery may have done is added a proxy user to your/their accounts. If you can see everything you want to see on Patient Access it should also work on the NHS App.

It's a bit tricky because despite the NHS App telling you to contact your GP surgery with any problems it's not really in their control to do much.

Brilliant advice thanks Coffee Runner. All info was on Patient Access. Would like to be able to view all in the NHS app. Is this possible?

It should be yes. There is actually a link to click on somewhere in the NHS App for help. A contact us option.

As you can see everything you need on Patient Access it sounds as though your GP surgery have done their part.

If your GP surgery have just sorted that out today there may also be a slight delay in the 2 apps talking to each other as it were.
