Buxton

DH and I are staying 20 or so miles from Buxton this weekend for an event. We have Saturday free and I thought that it might be a great place to visit.

Does anyone have any suggestions about places to eat - good food and wine (we like independent pubs/restaurants) and also things to visit? We love walking so distance on foot isn’t an issue.

I’d do the tour at Poole’s cavern and visit some of the shops like Buxton Pudding Emporium, Charlotte’s Chocolates, Beer District, wild Olive and Hargreaves. I’d eat at The Columbine.
