Fairy tea party probs

I'm the least creative and talented person there is around just firstly 😂 my daughters birthday next weekend. She wants a fairy tea party so I'm looking for all sorts of (low cost) food ideas,party games,where to get cake toppers etc?

Because I can't afford cake prices unfortunately I will be ATTEMPTING cupcakes and a cake myself 🤦🏽‍♀️😂.

I knew this would be the best place to come for ideas!!

You just need to cut them out and attach to a cocktail stick and pop them into cupcakes you've either bought or made...if you make them, keep it SIMPLE.....don't try anything fancy! I've been there and done that.

Just ice them in pastel colours and throw hundreds and thousands and silver balls on them.

Do a "fairy treasure hunt" in the garden if the kids are small...but FIRST give them all a plain paper bag...the stiff ones...and have a load of stickers (fairy themed) and glitter pens etc for them to decorate them...then they go off and hunt around the garden for the prizes you've already hidden....hide tonnes of sweets and cheap gifts.

That will take them ages and kids under 8 love it...don't try to do rules...or clues....just shout encouragement.

Then another craft is a fairy garden....get shallow terracotta plant dishes, fill with soil...have the kids stick stuff in there to make fairy gardens...like this

You need fairy cakes, not cupcakes. Smaller and usually with a lot less lurid sickly icing.

I was in Poundland yesterday and they had fairy garden bits in the garden section like tiny postboxes and phone boxes, super cute!

I would make star and heart shaped sandwiches.

They do fairy doors on baker Ross or ebay. Buy little paint sets to share and loads of bits to stick on??

Butterfly cakes might work. Chop the top of your little cakes, cut that in half, plonk back on with buttercream. Cover in sugary shite!!

Bit of bunting, fairy wings, best fairy dancing completion.

What about getting some face glitter?

Home bargains/quality save sell cheap packs of little strong brown paper bags with handles, if you wanted to use these for putting stickers on/decorating own party bags before a treasure hunt (I've done this before and the decorating bit was popular and used up some time as well)

Lots of glitter! You can do glitter tattoos, fairy tattoos, face paint like a little star or heart with glitter, glitter hair spray. Maybe a little sheer glittery nail polish? I would do a little craft activity like decorating the fairy doors. Fairy wands and a spell for party bags
