My son has applied for and been accepted for college.
He has now turned round and said that wants to do an apprenticeship which if he wants to do is fine with me.
I have said to him though that if he gets an apprenticeship he will have to pay towards his board.
I am a working single parent and will lose his entitlement to child benefit and tax credits.
What would be a reasonable amount to ask him to pay, I think 1/3 of his earning towards all bills including his mobile phone bill and travel costs is not unreasonable.
