Wondering if anyone has ever found the Holy Grail of school shoes?
DS is 14 with size 11.5 feet 🙄
He has to wear 'smart black shoes'. There are loads of black lace up shoes out there I know, the thing is that the more formal styles are problematic because a) they tend to give him awful blisters and b) he and his mates all muck about at break time playing football etc. and they end up ruined/shredded laces/holes.
They are not allowed to change into trainers for break.
I did try these last year which were the perfect shoe/trainer compromise

They were just what he wanted and SO comfy (apparently) but even they fell apart after one term term and now they don't have them in his size. They're not wildly expensive so happy to pay a bit more if necessary.
Has anyone been able to find comfy but smart school shoes that last longer than a few weeks? Also that come in big sizes?!
Does such a thing exist?! 🙏
