Strangest thing you've seen someone do in public?

Weeing doesn't count! Grin Far too common.

I just came out of Asda and walked by a car with a woman chucking back scoops of Cow and Gate powder!

I thought in my head that can't be right, maybe she's suspicious parenting and testing to see if it's okay.

Saw her doing the same again when I drove off. Just taking scoops and eating them!

What's the strangest thing you've seen someone do in public?

Two women in my town who's buggies are full of baby essentials, blankets, toys etc but the babies inside are reborn dolls....first though it was strange but now it makes me feel sad.

I saw similar the last time I was in the UK. The women were together and taking their babies for a walk. It was sad and they were a bit uncomfortable looking so I just smiled at them and went on my way. To be honest it reminded me of my mum pushing her big silver cross pram with my sister in it in the winter and mu sister would be dressed in beautiful hand knitted clothes. The pram blanket was also hand knitted.

@CirqueDeMorgue

Just place marking in case I'm featured.

I saw someone walking their cat on a lead a few weeks ago. 🤷‍♀️

A neighbour used to do that all the time Grin and sometimes the cat would just jump on a car to sleep in the sun and this kid would stand there waiting Grin

A lady nearby who often walks her three ferrets. They all seem very happy together and the ferrets running along always makes me smile.

A man who takes his birds of prey for walks along the seafront, sometimes he has an owl, other times a falcon, once a kestrel, just casually strolling along with it perched on his arm.

Walking past a wide open alleyway in Amsterdam and some guy took a dump. I saw the whole "event" AngryConfused

Drinking Pataks

Is it just me or is it a bit off to be posting photos of people's faces without their knowledge or consent? Anonymous anecdotes are one thing but a photo taken of someone unawares and posted without their knowing about/agreeing to it is another.

grey12 · 21/08/2021 15:35

Maybe less weird, more amazing:

Saw a man dressed in a complete suit, maybe with a hat as well, shirt, tie, the whole thing BRIGHT PINK. He looked great Grin

Not just you.
ISpyCobraKai · 21/08/2021 15:45

I once saw a woman letting her toddler do a poo in Primark.

Was that in the Covent Garden area of London? I used to see one there too and some days it was lime green. also the guy who walked around every day, even mid winter, without a shirt on.

Yes. I once saw an older lady with a baby in a buggy. First thought was that the baby must have been premature as it's face looked like a premature baby face. Second though was that it was too small for a non flat pushchair. Got closer and realised it was a reborn doll.
grey12 · 21/08/2021 15:56

@Audit Near King's Cross, years ago. But probably the same guy. Don't know who else could have such matched outfits Wink

SeaDreaming · 21/08/2021 16:00

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

I used to live on the route of one of those open roof tourist buses. We used to do odd things on purpose to confuse the tourists, as getting filmed and photographed doing normal stuff gets annoying quickly.

Some friends used to dress up as a bus and run up and down the road.... the costume fitted 8 people. It was made of cardboard and wood.

Grin

I keep seeing a bloke walking a bearded dragon on a lead in town.

HeReWeGoAgAiN1112 · 21/08/2021 16:06

A few weeks back I saw a man walking g through town with a huge macaw on his shoulder. That in itself is odd, but the bird was eating a 99!

Not when they’re drinking Pataks

Theoldcuriosityshop · 21/08/2021 16:09

A few years ago there was a lady who used to be pushed around our local shopping centre in a hospital bed. Pillows, blankets, the lot.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 21/08/2021 16:19

At Prague zoo, boiling hot day, utterly stunning black woman feeding her baby walking around, fine, but she was just wearing a pair of tiny tiny pants and very high heels. (If you’ve been there you know it’s not high heel terrain)We walked past, dh looked at me and went “was she...?”

Exactly what I thought. Fair game 🤷‍♂️

Clocktopus · 21/08/2021 16:28

It really isn't fair game, it's a violation of that person's privacy and especially distasteful when it's for the purpose of mocking them and inviting others to mock them.

Oliveandsage · 21/08/2021 16:38

A man opposite me on a train once ate an entire pack of Jacobs cream crackers, with no drink.

Audit · 21/08/2021 16:45

Another one. A few years ago we had an influx of eastern european workers in the local town as there were (and still are) plenty of jobs in various sectors. You would not see them during the week, but on a Saturday morning they were into Tesco at 7am buying a huge picnic of smoked meat, fish and cheeses lubricated with large bottles of neat vodka and strong beer which they spread out and consumed in the car park through to mid day.

SheWhoRemains · 21/08/2021 16:55

Used to live in a ground floor flat in the city centre. There were some shrubs outside the bedroom window, and then the pavement. A couple had sex there one evening whilst I was lying in bed with the window open Confused

Saw a group of people climbing up a crag face in flip flops.

Saw a couple pushing a dog in a pushchair up a fell path.
