How long are passports taking right now?

Just a standard renewal. Applied online at the end of July, they acknowledged receipt of the old passport in the first week of August - so 3+ weeks ago. Hoping it won't be much longer now.
If you've applied recently, can you remember how long it took?

I renewed DC's passport online, they told me they received the application on 28 July, just got notification it's on its way to me now.

Thanks and apologies for not seeing this before. Consensus seems to be 2-3 weeks. So perhaps it will come soon. I'm not even going abroad but suddenly need it for proof of ID and citizenship purposes for something I've applied for!

I am going on holiday in 9.5 weeks’ time. The wait is officially 10 weeks. I’ve booked half a day off work and a lovely trip to Peterborough to get my passport: I can’t bear the potential stress.

I applied for a first time passport for baby DS on 2 Aug, received a message yesterday that it's on its way. Hopefully your wait will be over soon.
