What to take with me to a wedding?

It's nearly two years since I went to a wedding, and three since I took DD to one.

I can't remember what I'll need to take - how about:
Mints (smelly breath from standing around for hours starving chatting)
Tissues
Something to keep DD(4) occupied in case there's a long wait at quiet times
Gift and card
Plasters/Painkillers
Lippy
Face mask(?)

Anything else?

Snacks.

Must weddings I’ve been to you end up starving waiting for the wedding breakfast.

With a child even more important.

Absolutely snacks. I never go to a wedding without a couple of flapjacks.

YES snacks!! I'm so rusty!

I thought I was being over cautious but I can see I'm underprepared Grin

I mean, you know your own child, but "something to keep DD occupied *if" there's a long wait at quiet times" seems extravagantly optimistic 😱😂

At that age, I'm not going to lie, I was taking a barrage of toys, crayons books, snacks, sweets etc to every wedding we went to (which was a LOT)...doubtless you'll get posters on telling you that 4-yr olds should be able to sit through several hours of church/speeches/small talk without making a sound/needing any input, but no-one wants to to be the parent whose kid is making an almighty fuss during the vows or the speeches...

Yes to face mask. Do you get hayfever - if so take your antihistamine etc, you never know where the flowers will be.
Mini hand gel and wet wipes.

Lighter
Cash, to buy more strong drink
Rucksack full of snacks, toys, pjs, sleeping bag for DC

Plasters for sore feet, flip flops to change into if you know you'll get uncomfortable. Baby wipes, make up and hair stuff for a refresh?
