My DC is turning 7 next month.
Haven't really gauged yet whether birthday parties are going ahead again. And if they are smaller affairs. Or whole class, like they were the last time we threw one.

DC would love to have a big-ish birthday party but i'm wondering if it's too soon after all that's happened (c19).
And also what is a popular choice for kids turning 7, what do they like at a party at this age these days. It's been a while!

The last time my kid went to one it was a 5th.

Kids are definitely having parties again in my area. My youngest 2 are 4 and 5 so it's pretty much whole class parties at the moment but when they are 7 I think it's more likely to be their best friends. I don't know what they would like to do at 7 but I hope you all have fun whatever you do!!

My DS was 7 last month. As just moved house and school we had 2 mini parties - one of 3 old school friends, and 1 with 3 new school friends. Just a long playdate with cake really. Biggest hit was inflatable light sabers and all attacking my DH. They were then part of party bag

Inflatable lightsabers are a fab idea! Thanks

We've booked a party for 40 for DC1s birthday next month. 2 bouncy castles and a magician, plus buffet/games etc
