Friday night thread. What are you up to?

I’m having a glass of wine and (shop bought) duck and pancakes. Dd is at her dad’s so really living the high life

Making some fudge....it's for tomorrow but I already feel sick I've tested that many of the treats tonight will be opening the wine once this is done

I am laying in bed next to 1 yr old DS, we co sleep and I stay up in bed so he doesn't fall out. Starting to get a bit tired of it now though as this is not living my best life.

Will fall asleep in a min I'm sure.

@fatisnotafeeling when I do-sleep alone with DD I make a pillow boundary so if she rolls to the edge she generally never rolls up over the pillows to fall out.

I had a glass and a half of wine for the first time in ages. Listened to music and caught up with friends on WhatsApp. Also booked a nights stay on North Yorkshire coast. Now I don't know hat to do. DH not home for at least two hours.

Any want to give me suggestions?

Sat on the sofa with DH and our 2 dogs, with a huge mug of tea and watching Manhunter on Sky. They've got a 80s film selection and I love this! St Elmo's fire for tomorrow. Too tired to even contemplate moving.

In a rental room (airbnb) of a nice lady's house, am here staying while looking around a completely random new area / city to see if i want to move here and buy a house...

Just made tea, watched last nights pre season nfl game very chilled

On my way back from London after a get together with work colleagues for leaving drinks as our amazing boss is leaving us gutted

Stayed sober as I have to drive back from the station, but havent seen those guys in person since early march 2020 (I work in a different office to them) so was amazing to see them.

We've had a rare evening of all 4 of us together downstairs watching a film - the imitation game.
Ds15 had a sleepover last night and work this afternoon, ds12 has just finished a week of rugby camp and Dh and I have been packing ready for our house move, so we were all knackered and happy to slob out.

I was in bed over an hour ago, everything hurts. It's been my first proper week back since March 2020 and my body clearly doesn't remember what a normal working and travelling schedule feels like.

I had lots of rubbish food for dinner, spoke to my sister on the phone. I should be preparing a short presentation I'm doing in church tomorrow morning, but I have no strength left...

@somuddled - I feel cautiously positive! it's a big change to where I am from but it is civilised, friendly, attractive and the house prices are great! But I have some other places to check out first before I make my decision....

Due to the fantastic company of my dc at dinner on last night of our hols I'm on mumsnet

Counting down the hours until it's Friday evening here. It's been a long week. I may have a glass of plonk when I get home.
