Shoeshine Boy by Hookfoot. 1969. It's more than 12 minutes long so just not single material. A radio edit would have killed it.

Say It Ain't So by Murray Head. 1975. Not single material either, a real album track.

I don't know if Nantucket Sleighride by Mountain charted in the UK. Like many very adequate records, it was on the long side but quite Deep Purple-esque so should have at least been in with a chance in the UK. For those who don't know it, look up Weekend World and Brian Walden.

Ooh.

Not sure if Darling Be Home Soon by The Loving Spoonful is obscure or not. I adore it.

Compared to Daydream and Summer In The City, DBHS is certainly obscure. I'm aware of the song but I don't remember hearing it from start to finish.
