How long did it take to get your PCR results?

I had an appointment on Monday at 1pm, results back by text the following day at 4pm. Daughter did a test on Monday which was posted about 1.30pm but have not had any results through. Is this usual?

My recent PCR was at a drive-in centre so no personal experience but I’ve seen several friends post on social media this week about postal tests taking an age to come back. One friend did a test on Sunday afternoon and hasn’t had the result yet.

Mine have always come back within 24 hrs

BIL had to wait for 5 days

Most of our PCRs have been back within 36 hours, fastest was 12 but they were drive through

Thanks, that’s interesting that other people’s are taking a long time too. Mine was a drive through.

I had one yesterday at 10am & still waiting, was drive through as well.

Test done on Friday result on Wednesday.

I had one yesterday at 4pm. Walk in. Results at 9am this morning

I had one on Wednesday at 12:25pm and had the results back that night at 11pm.

Still no results! The website says to wait 6 days before you contact them.

I posted a test Wednesday and got results 5pm Thursday .

Posted mine Tuesday, still no results. And being the fool I am, I've lost my barcode, so they can't even chase them up

Ds had a test yesterday at 11, walk in. Still waiting. They did say a minimum wait of 24-48 hours, so I'm not worried yet.

My sister had one last week, results took 20hours.

I had to do a drive-in PCR this morning woke up feeling rough - coughing, sore throat, swollen glands, foggy head, bit of a temperature. I dropped my test in the box at 10.50am so let’s see how long it takes to get my results! Hopefully it’s just a cold…

We did drive through ones yesterday at 4pm, still waiting for results.

My home one came back about 36 hours later, but I wasn't happy, as DS's and my friend's and her son's were all back well within 24 hours.

Just in case anyone is reading this and interested (), I had my drive-in test at 10.50am yesterday and got my results at 9am today.

Negative, which surprises me. My symptoms are definitely not cold-like, they are mild but most definitely covid-y, however a LFT taken this afternoon confirms it's a no. Hmm.
