I am running out of ideas so thought we could all share cheap or free things we have done in hope of some new ideas to fill the last 2 1/2 weeks of the holidays. My dh works 12 hour night shifts mon-thurs 6-6 so play dates are a no for us during the day, it’s a challenge to keep my 3 dc quiet without doubling the head count.

Our week had looked like this:-

Mon:- 10-11am fun and floats swimming session (kids under 18 are free and adults are £1)
4pm my friend and her kids came over for the evening and we took the kids on their bikes down a local bike trail and feed the ducks the other end and played on the park. Then back to ours for dinner they left about 10pm.

Tuesday: School shopping, lunch at a cafe and then back home.
Dd2 dad gymnastics 3-7pm, ds was out playing at the park with his friends and dd1 was out with a few of her friends.

Wednesday:- Local national trust place took a picnic and spent about 4 hours there in total. The older two went out with friends for the afternoon/evening and dd2 had a school friend round for tea.

Today:- Swimming 10-11am, then this afternoon we are going tobogganing at a council run dry ski slope which is £1 each. Dd2 has gymnastics 4-8pm and the other two will be off out with friends no doubt.

Tomorrow:- dh will be up at 12 noon and then we are taking the kids to a local country park with loads of play areas for ages up to late teens and 2 splash, mini golf and a high wire course. Followed by McDonalds for tea and then meeting my friend and her family at an ice rink for a skating disco 7pm-9pm, the adults will chat and drink coffee. That is council run as well and cost £3.80 per child so not bad for two hours skating.
