Facebook 'People you may know'.

I've had the strangest thing happen to me on FB.

There's a cousin of mine that I met for the first time about 6-7 years ago.
We never kept in contact after that.

Now I've looked at FB this morning and lo and behold, there is my cousin on the list of 'People you may know'.

I have looked at the list of my cousins friends and there isn't anyone there I know. There is no connection between my cousins friends and my friends.

Does anyone know how can FB possibly know that this 'PYMK' is my cousin?!

Any Facebook experts out there who can help?

They might have searched for you.

Or someone’s email address in your contacts that may in turn have your cousins email address in their contacts. Facebook searches everything

No I don't. We didn't get that far in exchanging phone numbers. I don't know where they live,either.

They would have searched for you. If they've had a good look through your public information, they will show as people you may know. I know this from my previous stalking.

OMG! Is this true!

There are people I've searched for myself, old boyfriends and such, I never thought they would know about it!

This question comes up often, but I don't think anyone knows the true answer. I would love to know.

Summerofcomedy- I believe so. Safest thing if you really don’t want them to know is to block them.
