Do you wax your bikini area? If so, what 'style'?

It was waxing day today for me - and it hurt. A LOT. As usual. It doesn't seem to get any less painful. I got for a Hollywood because I tried it once from a Brazilian and now I don't like to have any hair in my bikini area at all, front or back.

Apparently the Hollywood is a very popular option, according to the lady who does my waxing. So I just wanted to see what 'hair cut' the ladies on MN tend to go for...

All of it off!!!!!

lachy · 18/08/2021 17:34

Beyond trimming the odd poking out pube I don't bother. I really can't see the point of waxing it all off every few weeks but to each their own.

Hollywood. I went for a bespoke thing about 2 years ago and got it the wrong way round so ended up with a hideous neckbeard style thing instead of a cute Brazilian. No idea why the beautician went with it but I guess the customer is always right Grin I'll never forget the tone of the response from my FWB when I sent him a picture of my bits at the time, it was a kind of royal family 'oh how nice' response. I have no design eye...

Parentingdilemmas · 18/08/2021 18:48

It baffles me that there are “styles”. Wouldn’t you just want it all off, like why would anybody want to keep some bits on? Or like a PP said a trim is fine.

Have you trued taking a couple of paracetamols half an hour before your appointment? It might take the edge off the pain.

Galassia · 18/08/2021 19:04

All off.

PermanentTemporary · 18/08/2021 19:29

Yeah I don't do it for cleanliness, definitely for the dirtyness

Yes and they made no difference. Maybe it's because my hair is quite dark and coarse.

Baystard · 18/08/2021 20:18

I don't wax or trim, the balayage is far more effective when it's a bit longer...

Hollywood. Hot wax only none of this warm strip wax. Barely flinch. £32 for 15 mins work (I'm in the wrong Job)

starfishmummy · 18/08/2021 20:29

I leave just a small amount neatly coiffed into an arrow shape, just in case dh should get lost.
