Can anyone please recommend a website where I can purchase Liverpool FC tickets that is trustworthy? I'm after tickets for the Liverpool V Man City game on 3rd October in particular. Thanks

You'll really, really struggle unfortunately, they're very hard to get hold of!

From what I understand, you need to be a member of the supporters club website first, then you can enter the draw to win tickets twice a season (the first one has already happened, there's another in maybe October or November). But they go to Liverpool postcodes as a priority I think, and those who've been to previous games.

Otherwise, your best bet is to ask someone with a season ticket who isn't going to a game to add you to their Friends & Family and let you use them.

My DH has managed to get to 2 games in the last 5 years, trying every season. He doesn't know anyone with a season ticket so it's harder - he knows people who pay money to someone in Liverpool to use their address for applying for tickets, even some groups of 5 or 6 people who will rent an office or room just for the address.

It's a nightmare! But the waiting list for season tickets is so long and the stadium obviously only has so much capacity.

You've got next to no chance unless you know someone with a season ticket that isn't going, and is happy to let your DH have his/her ticket.

@therocinante has the same experience as me.

If you join the Supporters' Club you can apply for tickets for friendlies I think which doesn't help with that specific match but can be a way to see a match at Anfield.

There are sometimes exhibition matches too.

thanks for the replies, does anyone have any experience of using fanpass.co.uk or livefootballtickets.com etc?
