Drinks bottles that last

Hi,
What school/ day out water bottles do you all recommend please?
I've tried a few different brands but have had problems with lids breaking. The last bottle we tried was a Thermos hydration which worked well for a while until the lid broke beyond repair.
I'm thinking of trying out a stainless steel type for longevity and the fact that it can be recycled or a well made long lasting plastic bottle.

We use contigo bottles and also have a hydro flask and chillys bottles. All very good and leakproof.

We have chillies and super sparrow and they seem indestructible.

I am of the opinion that some kids just cant help but break water bottles. My accident prone dd has strangely never had any problems with any drinks bottles. But my son who is never clumsy etc has been through about 5 this last year.

I've resigned myself to just buying whatever I can find at a cheap price now and letting them run their course.

Even his Chilly bottle ended up dented in a way that it would no longer stand up.

I’ve got a couple of super sparrow bottles and they’re excellent.

We use contigo bottles, they’re the only ones that have lasted a full school year without breaking or leaking. Chillis type bottles were bomb proof but are easily tipped over in class so they didn’t work for us - my kids need ones with sip/straw type tops, the open bottle top proved problematic.

My kids have had the same ion8 bottles for years. You can buy replacement seals and things. Highly recommend.

Thank you, there are some great recommendations here I'll look them all up. I like the idea of being able to buy replacement parts, even being able to buy a new lid would have helped lots over the years.

I like Klean Kanteen bottles, with a One Green Bottle lid which is replaced as needed. I get mine from Babipur and Yesbebe.

I got DH a Nalgene 1ltr bottle on Amazon for about £15 nearly 3 years ago and it’s still going strong. Dd2 has a chillies bottle which has managed to survive even her…

Chilly bottles. I've had mine for 3 years. Both dc use them too Can't stand plastic ones of any description and I feel I can never get all the parts clean. Dd's school tried to ban mettle bottles for a while last year. I ignored that completely. I wasn't about to go back to buying a plastic water bottle every other week while a perfectly good Chilly bottle stayed in a cupboard.

Chilly! Perfect in hot weather too and they last.

I had a kleen kanteen one that lasted me probably 12 years until I got drunk at a wine and cheese festival and lost it! Dc also have One Green Bottles ones which haver lasted a few years so far with no complaints.

Thanks for this thread @3wheels. I just bought a contigo bottle and a cheeki bottle from TK Maxx.

Nalgeen, REI, Chillys, Cambelback and Sigg all have lasted here.

Also have a few life factory ones which have done well too.
