I’m going to be in the area tomorrow, I haven’t been for years and fancied stopping off for a walk. What’s the parking situation like?! Are there car parks I’ll be able to get into? Not sure if there’s parking anymore or if they just prefer people to get public transport, I looked on the website and they tell you how to get there via public transport or by foot.
Apologies if you’re reading this thinking “that’s a stupid fucking question!” Grin I just don’t know!

Okay I read it properly and it mentions being open to vehicles but I’m not attempting to drive through it, just park Confused

Lots of free parking last time we went, although can fill up. I think there's some faffing around with limiting vehicle access through the park (check the website - they've done this at Bushy Park and it's bloody annoying).

But if you just want to park up and walk, no problem. Enjoy the deer!

Depends what side you’re coming from, and what time. There’s parking at Roehampton gate, Pembroke Lodge, and kingston gate (I think). Probably others.
Might see you there!

There’s lots of parking, we’ve never not got a space and tend to visit on Sundays when it’s busy. We like the car park near the cafe for a post walk snack.

Sheen gate is not open (stupid cyclists sent the consultation questionnaire to cycling clubs up and down the country - they want vehicles banned completely which is ridiculous and causes gridlock in the local area creating more pollution than if the park was open and turns the park into a dangerous velodrome) and a section from Kingston Gate to Roehampton Gate is blocked off but all car parks are open.
This is Mon - Fri. At weekends you can only park in the nearest car park to the gate you enter through and can't drive through at all.
Such a shame for a lot of local elderly people who loved being driven round.
