Secondary school packed lunch

Those with children in secondary school - am I right in thinking that lunch bags (even plain ones) are considered terribly uncool?

My DD is starting year 7 in a couple of weeks. Am I better off buying her a large Tupperware type box to fit everything in? Anyone have any recommendations?

Mine had a Tupperware and flask.
They liked noodles or soup somedays

Mine started off with clear plastic lunch boxes, now everything just gets shoved in their school bag.

I was looking at one of those in Tesco, they're on offer for £5 at the mo!

Dh steals the wee screw tubs for his salad dressings and I don't use the small shelf thing. I use the 2 smaller compartments for fruit and put the sandwich in the bottom of the main bit with the bigger shelf on top and that's where a snack or biscuits sits

Mine both use systema bento boxes. DS also has a thermos food flask and has phases of preferring hot lunches.

Dd2 (going into year 11) has a set of stacking hello Kitty Tupperware which she loads up and sticks in her bag. She will not be parted from her beloved HK
When dd1 was at senior school she just used a plain rectangular Tupperware when she was having packed lunches or occasionally my sistema cubey type lunchbox with all the separate sections.
