Anyone ever washed a camp bed mattress in the washer?

Ours is looking decidedly fluffy/dusty after living under dd1's bed for 18 months rather than being used for regular sleepovers.

I've hoovered it with my little hoover, which has really good suction but wondered if a spin in the machine to freshen it up would be possible? Or will that kill it?
