I checked my app 3 days ago and my payment was due to go in today as normal. I’m currently overdrawn by £6 and don’t get paid until the 26th (NHS).
I’ve called the helpline this morning and waited 24 mins for someone to pick the phone up. My claim has been terminated as I didn’t fill in my renewal notice. I absolutely 100% did. I did it online like I do every year. I would never not do it as I wouldn’t leave myself in this situation with no money and kids to feed. I’ve called them and got no help at all, they’ve restarted the claim but no money for another two weeks minimum. The advisor was working from home and made me wait whilst he “logged on”, talked over me constantly and told me to “use the app” - I use the app all the time I’m not stupid.
I could cry, I don’t know what the hell im going to do now. I’ve asked for a manager to call back but god knows when that will happen. I can’t get an emergency loan as I don’t claim universal credit or income support as I work full time.
Is there something I can do here? Someone I can call? Please if you have any advice can you let me know thank you
