Is sex overrated?

I think in a way, sex is overrated if we're focusing on the physical pleasure. It's incredibly intense but the feeling subsides afterwards (at least for men I've heard). I used to enjoy sex but after having dabbled in some recreational drugs (ecstasy, opioid painkillers), I would say that they offer far more pleasure than sex.

The intimacy from sex however is not comparable to anything else.

That’s your opinion but from my experience sex offences are often not about sec but are about power.

Offenders lack control in their lives and use sex as a way to feel powerful rather than the actual pleasure of sex.
