NHS to Council

I have NHS long service so have excellent annual leave & have paid into a pension for years. But I’m increasingly disillusioned with the NHS culture. I’ve just moved job from managing a hospital service to managing a community team & its not for me. A job more suited to me has come up in the council with the same salary.
Has anyone done this? If so what are the pros & cons.

I find the council treat me a lot better. They're way more up to speed with management training, equality, fairness, career development. But there are areas where there aren't enough staff eg social services. Everybody I know works hard. For my job there are busier times when I work longer hours. But they're fairly predictable and I get the hours back in lieu. Terms and conditions are generally good. I could earn more elsewhere though. Many jobs are going to 2 days in office, 3 days at home where I work.
