Minute's silence

Apparently there was a minute's silence at 11 this morning for the people killed in Plymouth. Did anyone else not realise this?

I didn't know no.

My local council did a Facebook post to publicise that it was happening. Post appeared at 11.45.

I knew about a minute silence in Plymouth only.

I live in Plymouth and I was under the impression it was a local mark of respect within the city, rather than UK wide.
