Should I make a separate GP appt for this? (TW: intimate issue)

I’ve got to go to GP on Friday about problems down below - skin condition, GP was concerned I might need a gynae referral - wants to examine on Friday .

Have gone to the loo tonight. I’m very dry and sore, I’m bleeding a bit . GP had recommended using replens or something before I see her to help with dryness . I’ve popped a bit in tonight and there’s an obvious lump internally . Like a spot but on my cervix (I remember where that is after having to check my coil strings) . It’s like a spot or wart .

I’ve had a normal smear two years ago so I’m guessing it’s probably not all that much, but it’s a bit strange - I’ve never felt anything like that inside before .

Would you just keep the original GP appt and mention it when I go on Friday ? Won’t get a sooner appt with anyone - and it doesn’t seem worth doing another e consult for as they’ll surely just need to examine anyway - but then I’m thinking GP might want advance warning that there’s a couple of things going on . Not sure what’s best .

Could you phone the practice and see if they can make it a double appointment?

I think it is a double appt but yes I’ll ring and ask about that - that might let them get it all done at once !

It could be a polyp, I had a cervical polyp and it caused a bit of bleeding.

I found something similar last year and was referred on a 2WW. Obviously I was absolutely shitting myself but it turned out to be a harmless cervical nabothian cyst

Hopefully yours is something similar

Thank you, it sounds like that from google yes . It’s maybe just normal anatomy I’m feeling but I’m not sure . I’ll ask the surgery if they can check if it’s a double appt or if I need to book again for another examination .

Just to reassure you but I had a lump on my cervix. Having people stare at it so intently was not my favourite thing Confused but it was harmless.

You could always call reception tomorrow and ask if you should be seen sooner.
