What colour wallpaper shall I go for?

What colours or designs do you think would go with this sofa and carpet combination?I would like a feature wall and plain other walls.
I would like wallpaper as its a 1930s house and smooths the walls and makes it more cozy. Any ideas to warm it up as I feel like my head is mashed.

I have no real idea why, but "peacock" sprang to mind as soon as I saw your picture.

I googled and found many and really liked this one.... but it's £138 per roll..... yikes.
