Only glass will do

Our cats will only drink water from glasses. We have bedside glasses (not for us) and fishbowls (no fish) outside and they only drink from glass.

We have cat bowls and water bowls but they will only drink from glass.

I am looking after a cat who will only drink from the tap.

It tastes better out of glass 🤷🏽‍♀️ be thankful you don't have to give them fresh running water as even a water fountain is beneath them!

Yes, fine. Just got this cat gulping at a tap when there is a bowl on the floor.

My pup does prefer to have his water from my glass and not his stainless steel bowl.

Ddog prefers water out of a glass instead of his rainless steel bowl.

Is it by his food? Cats are wired not to drink by there food because mice and rats etc pee disease into the water where they live so cats learned to eat on one spot and drink in another

Mine eat in the kitchen and drink from the bath tap

They also have a cup on the kitchen windowsill they will use

Mine prefers the neighbours water feature. Or the puddles on the windowsill

Our cats eat in the kitchen but only drink from water in the living room. They like glass to drink out of so they can see what's going on around them at the same time.

After so many persistent attempts to drink water out of our glasses, I bought them a set of Ikea Whisky tumblers, which are like mini glass bowls and were very cheap, so they can have their own little glasses to drink out of.

the dips in manhole covers is always a favourite.

Mine likes to drink from my glass and will have a little drink of milk from ds glass or cup if he gets the chance

I don’t know what about cats not drinking next to their food

My cat prefers to drink from a dirty muddy puddle on top of our neighbours flat garage roof. No water to be consumed inside the house unless it's December and there's some stagnant Christmas tree water going.

Mine likes to drink out the toilet with his massive butt in the air
