Anyone have a Gotz doll?

Thinking of getting a Gotz doll for DD’s 5th birthday, think they look lovely and I think she’ll love having a slightly ‘older’ doll, especially if she has a few different outfits for her (currently she has an annabel and a baby born) The Gotz Hannah doll is 50cm, which seems big, wondering if 5 is too young and I should go for something else? Does anyone have a Gotz doll and at what age if so? Or have any other recommendations for dolls for 5 year olds? Thank you!

Yes my dd had Hannah. She is a lovely doll

5 may be a little young as it's an expensive doll but she has amazing hair that if cared for doesn't knot and you can get lovely outfits.

When dd now 15 leaves home if she doesn't take her I'm keeping her.

I got my first Gotz doll when I was 4. (A Sasha) I loved her. I still have her 40 years later. My mum despaired though-I cut her hair, lost her clothes and coloured her face in with crayons for make up. She still looks good though.

I bought my DD2 a Gotz Sarah doll for her 5th birthday-I thought she’d love her as she loved her baby Annabel. She wasn’t interested at all-she eBay’d her as soon as she was old enough to have her own eBay account.

They’re beautiful dolls though-if you think your DD would love it, then go for it!

Thank you both! MaisyMary77 I just looked up the Sarah doll and found a blog all about the various different models of Gotz doll and how they’ve changed over time, it seems they also have ‘baby Hannah’s’ which are a little bit smaller, so I might look at those for DD!
