Kids feet - do they stay the same width?!

Just wondering if it’s worth stocking up on shoes in the next few sizes when I see bargains in the sale? Her feet were a G as a baby but have been an F for the last few pairs of shoes. She’s now 3. Are they likely to stay F?

Should add we always buy Clarks and I would still get her measured regularly

I seem to remember my dc's feet sometimes getting wider sometimes longer! Ds had H width feet as a small boy, but now happily wears any old shoes.
Dd had narrow feet which were equally tricky to fit but now has normal width feet. They are both late teens early twenties.

DS1’s feet have fit longer and (proportionally) narrower. He’s also had moments when his feet have grown a whole size in a few weeks and then stayed the same size for six months…whenever I’ve prebought (wellies etc) they’ve had almost no use so I’ve given up!

Getting measured regularly to buy the shoes that fit and buying a next size shoes in advance is totally opposite.
I wouldn't buy it in advance, you may waste money trying to save.

With both of mine I’ve found that their feet get wider and then go longer and narrower. Eg - DD’s old school shoes were a 12.5G, now she’s a 13F. With Clark’s shoes I’ve found they do allow for growth both in width and length.

Children’s feet tend to get wider as their bones harden get older to about 7 or 8, then stabilise a bit. DS is 12 next month. His feet were narrower than a D when he was a toddler. They got to about an F I think- he can fit narrow “mainstream” shoes now, but I fell out with Clark’s years ago, so I can’t be sure about this.
