Do you sleep in a small bedroom? How?

Small as in 3x3m or less.

Our room gets SO stuffy, hot, uncomfortable etc.

Previous house had tall ceilings and big rooms, so the airflow was good, but this house is a small, mid terrace one. I have to have a fan going, or an air purifier on most nights. It probably doesn't help that the window handle is broken Sad and we only get air in from the closet which has its own window for some reason.

My bedroom is not a lot larger than my (double) bed. I keep the window open all year (we're in a rural bungalow) and only close it if there's a gale blowing in from the East. We don't have central heating, so never really have any problems with stuffiness!

My room is prob 4m square. I have the window and the door open at night, and keep the curtains shut during the day if it’s sunny.

Can’t you get the window handle fixed?

Nope, the whole window needs to be replaced.

I'm now wondering how hard that can be and if I can do it myself - it's torture!
