Because DH has been pinged in school and OF COURSE school are following the rules and told the 4 staff members to go home SadAngrySad

He's been in school the last 8 days, we have had NO holiday (apart from 2 days to go and see his dying relative)

And we were going to go on day trips the end of next week (he was supposed to be in school Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday next week)

Yes I think so.

There was a thing on the government's twitter feed I think.

Do you mean will his self isolation continue next week if he was pinged as a close contact this week?

The answer is no - self isolation for close contacts ends on Monday 16th.

My understanding is he needs to isolate until Monday. Then (assuming he had his second vaccination more than 14 days ago) he can carry on as normal.
