Ive just woken up (second time this night and not unusual) from a dream, feels like heart racing and I sort of breathe fast for a minute or two to "get my breath back." And then all is fine.

I had a test for sleep apnea a few mo ths ago which concluded it wasnt that (thjs was because I am large and always tired - had been diagnosed me/cfs before I got large.)

Its only now Im conscious of waking up like this.

Any idea what it could be? Do i need to go back to the dr?

How old are you? 'Meerkat moments' adrenaline rush caused by oestrogen fluctuation - peri and menopause related. Very common

43 so could be? Love the phrase Meercat moments. All googling kept leading to sleep apnea which the o2 study said it wasnt. I was sure it was after dr suggested it!

Is there any cure for "meerkat moments"? Or wait 10 years for it to pass...? I so need better sleep!

I'm not waking hot and sweaty.

Adrenaline rush is sending me down another google rabbit hole though.
