Daughters cat bully's my dog

Mr Grey the cat bully's my German Shephard dog (bitch) Mr Grey is here temporary. He's been here 9 months so far. I swear the cat bully's the dog. The cat was in the bedroom so was I. Heard the dog coming up the stairs. The cat casually walked to the door and went beside it so dog could not see him. Then every time the dog tried to enter the room the cat smacked her with his paw. If she wants to pass in the hall way the cat won't let her. And several times the dog has been in the garden and the cat won't let her come in . He also sits up the top of the stairs and guards it so the dog can't go upstairs.

Feeling a bit bad for the dog but not sure what to do. Daughter is not in the position to have the cat back yet .

My cat, a pretty ordinary cat ( but pretty special to me) used to bully our dog , a rohdisian redgeback/sta

Our tiny dcat swipes our ddogs. They are used to it now!!
She is super feisty for her size... The husky gives her a wide berth. Our biggest ddog actually reverses if she sees her!!

As I was saying, before I interrupted myself, crossed with a staffy. So no softy. Cat would sit, apparently taking no notice of dog, then as dog passed, cat would lash out, claws showing, and in operation.

Poor dog would come crying to us, and we would have to chaperone her past devil cat.

They learned to live together, as long as dog realised she lived here under sufferance (of the cat).

The trouble is with dogs, the bigger they are, the softer they are. Our old ferrel used to rule the big dogs, but would run a mile if the terriers were about.
Can you keep the cat downstairs, or put yourself between the two so the dog can pass?

My DD's cats bully our Golden retriever. They hide on the dining chairs and smack her on the nose as she goes past, they won't let her lie by the fire, they pounce on her if she is dozing in the garden.
Never with claws out, or with aggression- but Ddog definitely knows her place!

Mr Grey needs putting in his box, he’s asserting his authority to the peasant.
