HEATHROW CAR PARKING - IS IT WORTH PRE BOOKING?

We are staying in a hotel actually at Heathrow overnight (taking DS then going) so will only really require 1 overnight in the short stay car park.

Is it worth pre-booking the car park or wait until we get there and pay at the end when we leave?

Is there a carpark at the hotel?

SortCode · 12/08/2021 20:04

No car park. hotel is actually at Heathrow so you need to park up yourself in one of the car parks

Pre booking will save you loads!

Don't stay overnight at the short stay. I work at Heathrow and had to use the short stay temporarily last week due to a mix up with passes at the staff car park. 6 hours cost me (well the company will pay) £42. Overnight at short stay will be £70 minimum. Use a long stay or one of the business car parks.

We are only parking overnight and need the car at Heathrow

If you are there for more than about 6 hours, the long stay is usually cheaper and pre-booking is almost always cheaper.

I've also clocked up a big bill for a day's parking for my employer for not pre-booking.

I've flown multiple times for day trips or overnights and once you've been there for a few hours you can get up to about 9 days for pretty much the same money, around £35 to just over £40 if you pre-book.

Put your dates and times into a site like Holiday Extras to see the price for the available car parks, or possibly also airport website. Last few times we've flown, we've had the best price at Manchester by booking direct.

pre-booking will be about one-third the price of just turning up

It is possibly worth booking a more expensive hotel, with parking including? Hope you get sorted. Smile

TartanCurtains · 14/08/2021 10:17

What makes you think the hotel doesn't have a car park? Its website says it does, at £12 a night.
