Any Doctors or nurses around to look at an incision wound?

I had keyhole surgery 2 weeks ago.

All incisions are healed apart from this one.

The surgeon said to just redress it daily for a week.

GP yesterday said it looks fine but gave me a week of antibiotics to cover me.

But what started out as yellowy water has turned into brown sludge coming from it.

It's itchy and a bit tender but there is NO smell. The yellow in iodine.

The ends have healed well but there is a hole in the middle this liquid keeps coming out of.

Dr said its normal but I'm still concerned.

I would get that checked out, the paper strips are not actually doing anything, the hole may need a proper clean.

I did yesterday and she said it was fine but I agree it's not right

See if you can book in with the practice nurse for a dressings check - they may be able to clean it up a bit for you while the antibiotics kick in.

Yes, the practice nurse might actually be more used to seeing wounds for dressing so may have a better idea.

I can't get anything till Tuesday :(

Am thinking of A&E cause if I sit down it looks like it's shitting. Its thick brown coming out

Yes go to hospital. I wouldnt want to leave it till Tuesday. Did they pack the wound with iodine gauze. Keep it covered and let them clean it out properly.

What part of your body is it.

Looks sore. Definitely get it checked out. I had a keyhole incision wound go a bit wrong and it didn’t heal as well as the two others. Wish I’d got mine checked at the time.

It's my stomach.

Yep, go to a&e or minor injuries, take your surgery discharge letter with you.
